The availability of NCWCOM fiber optic internet service in Wellington is 97% complete and work is underway to finish the project before year end. Recently, North Main Street/SR58 (to Peck-Wadsworth), East Herrick Street/SR18 (to Hawley), Northwoods Avenue, Waterfowl Court, Deer Run Apartments (116, 124, 132, 140 & 148 Jones Road), Lakeside and Park Street were available for installation. Crews are working on Brown Street, Reserve Court Apartments, and the trailer park at 701 North Main Street, and will finish North Mill Street Apartments once the Village of Wellington completes the electrical work there. Our underground crews will then be headed to Commerce, Patriot, Heritage, Liberty, Maple and Brookside Drive which should then complete the Village of Wellington. Yay!

Fiber optic service installations and builds are moving along well. We've begun installations for all of Lakeside Avenue, and have been completing the underground boring work necessary to get the conduit in place for fiber on the north end of Parkside, Northwoods and then Waterfowl Court. This week, crews also began the aerial build of strand and fiber on East Herrick/SR18 between Barker and Hawley Road. As soon as additional streets are ready for installations, we will visit and place a door hanger on your door to let you know it's time to call. Thanks for the support of YOUR LOCAL INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER!

NCWCOM's has now passed 95% of Wellington’s residences and businesses with fiber optic service. Progress continues on the few remaining streets. The underground fiber team has been busy boring conduit on the north end of Parkside and will be heading towards Northwoods Ave and Waterfowl Ct. When they are ready, we will be leaving door hangers at each address to ensure that residents know to call and schedule their installations.
Meanwhile, the aerial team is working on completing the final touches to light up North Main Street (SR 58) from the railroad tracks north to Peck-Wadsworth Road. Again, when each area is live, we will visit each address to ensure that residents know to call and schedule their installations.

Progress to complete the fiber build in Wellington is over 80% of Wellington’s residences and continues in several neighborhoods. The underground fiber team has been busy boring conduit on the remainder of Sheila Drive and is currently heading towards Greenview Court. They hope to finish the underground work to pull strand and fiber through those areas and get them lit soon. When they are ready, we will be leaving door hangers at each address to ensure that residents know to call and schedule their installations.
Meanwhile, the aerial team is working on completing Jones Road (Route 58 to Parkside). Aerial crews have finished building North Main Street (SR 58) from the railroad tracks north to Peck-Wadsworth Road, but are awaiting permission from CSX to get across tracks in order to light it up. Again, when each area is live, we will visit each address to ensure that residents know to call and schedule their installations.

Meanwhile, the aerial team completed Jones Road (reservoir to Parkside), the east side of Parkside Street (Jones Road to high tensile wires), and a portion of Grand Avenue which is live and several customers have been installed. Aerial crews are currently working on building North Main Street (SR 58) from the railroad tracks north to Peck-Wadsworth Road, Montrose Way, and Kelly Street. They will follow with Clay Street, Hamilton Street (west side), south side of Sheila Drive, west end of Jones Street, and North Mill Street. Again, when each area is live, we will visit each address to ensure that residents know to call and schedule their installations.

Our Wellington Fiber Project progress has continued. We have lit-up service on the north side of Shelia Drive, so please feel free to call about our services if you are on the north side. We are also now able to offer our fiber services on Jones Road between the reservoir and Parkside Reserve; as well as, the east side of Parkside Street from Jones Road to the open farm field. We are currently boring on Cornerstone Ave so that we may provide fiber to the street. We do not have a current time frame for when this street will be active.

We will be cutting in taps this week and will begin fiber installations on these streets within the next two weeks. By the end of this week, residents on these streets can give us a call to set up installation appointments for new fiber service or conversion to fiber for existing customers. There is no charge to convert existing customers from wireless to fiber.
