Wellington Ohio Fiber Project

Wellington is where our roots were planted and what we call “home”, which made it an easy decision to begin building our fiber network in Wellington. In 2018 we began developing our fiber optics coverage throughout Wellington. We are currently offering fiber for almost all of Wellington, with just a few streets left to complete or that we are not permitted to build on. Residential fiber packages start at just $39.95/month for 200Mbps in download and upload speeds, and are available up to 5,000Mbps in download and upload speeds! HB2 Ohio Residential Fiber Project (Huron County)(Completed)
In the fall of 2022 North Coast Wireless Communications LLC (aka NCWCOM) was awarded a House Bill 2 Residential Broadband Expansion Grant. The grant was created to help internet service providers build the networks to serve Ohioans that currently cannot participate in the modern economy because of a lack of high-speed internet. Basically, it is to provide internet accessibility in areas that are unserved or underserved. With the grant, NCWCOM has committed to constructing Broadband Fiber Internet infrastructure that will allow accessibility to 320+ addresses in Huron County. Upon completion of the project, residents in the project scope will have access to broadband service, with speeds of up to one gigabit download and one gigabit upload. By utilizing Fiber-to-the-Premises (FTTP) technology, NCWCOM is able to scale the project to support future growth to support consumer and data demands.
Work commenced on the project in November 2022, the first of the project addresses was lit in September of 2023, and the 104 specific project addresses had service available mid-2024. See project updates below for more information.

Pavonia Road Fiber Project

NCWCOM is excited to announce a new fiber project that consists of a small build on Pavonia Road that will span 1.5 miles and provide fiber optic service to 22 residences. Upon completion of the project, residents in the project scope (see address list below) will have access to broadband service, with speeds of up to one gigabit download and one-gigabit upload. By utilizing Fiber-to-the-Premises (FTTP) technology, NCWCOM is able to scale the project to allow for future growth to support consumer and data demands. The project is expected to reach completion by late Fall of 2024. We will reach out to each residence in the project’s address list once we are at the installation phase. Wireless Projects
Huron County Broadband Expansion

North Coast Wireless Communications LLC is excited to have been awarded the Huron County Broadband Expansion Project. The project is designed to improve broadband internet access for education, job creation, health care, and more in targeted locations in Huron County. The objective and ultimate goal of the project is to make available high-speed internet access at speeds no less than 100Mbps down and 100Mbps up in the targeted location in Huron County (we are able to offer 200 Mbps/100Mbps!!!). The targeted locations for the project include Clarksfield Township, New Haven Township, Bronson Township, Greenwich Township, Pontiac (Peru Township), Fitchville (Fitchville Township), and Townsend Township.

Our tower crew has been busy installing equipment on more Huron County towers and we are excited to add the Clarksfield tower to the upgraded 6G list. The upgraded “Extreme” service can provide up to 200Mbps/100Mbps! Upgraded areas include Clarksfield, Fitchville, Milan, Norwalk, Greenwich and Bellevue. We are excited to announce that we are now offering upgraded 6G fixed wireless service in the Greenwich, Fitchville, Norwalk, Milan and Bellevue areas. Our technicians have been busy installing new customers and upgrading existing customers, and we are continuing to schedule installations. In addition, our tower crew is busily working to get Clarksfield and Willard areas completed as well. Please give our office a call at 440-647-5626 to determine availability at your location.

Our tower team has been busy working on installation of new 6g equipment on several towers in Huron County. Testing has begun on two towers and we hope to begin offering upgraded service to those towers by mid-summer. Mailers will be sent as soon as we are ready to schedule installations or upgrades, alerting residents to call us. We are looking forward to upgrading current customers and being able to provide service to many more!

Contracts for this project are in place. We have begun to source and order equipment for the project. The completion deadline for this project is 9/1/2025, and our goal is to accomplish the project much sooner than that.
